It’s starting to get chilly here in North Central Florida and we are actually expecting a hard freeze this weekend. This Day 8 project is perfect to whip up and wear on chilly days. A reversible fleece neck warmer is the perfect last minute DIY gift! It’s so quick and easy any beginner can make one even if you’ve never sewn with stretch knit fabrics or fleece before. I share all kinds of tips and tricks in the video tutorial to set you up for success! Give it a go. I think you’ll enjoy wearing something you can say you made without diving into the world of garment sewing. All you need is some fleece and thread! Did I mention it’s also reversible?! Such a great little project.
Here are the dimensions I use when I make these neck warmers for adults and children:
Adults: Cut 2 pieces of fleece* to 8″ x 25″
Kids: Cut 2 piece of fleece* to 7″ x 22″
* Please watch the tutorial for information on how to orient your fleece fabric before you cut. I cover a lot of info in this video for you.

Awesome Gift for kids or adults. You mention 75/11 needle or larger. Does it matter if it’s ball point or not?
Vanessa Vargas Wilson
I mention an 80/12 universal in the video and in my experience both ballpoint/jersey and the universal needles of that size work fine. Hope that helps.

Thanks! Glad you enjoy it!

I made it, and then went back in Vanessa’s archives. I found two tutorials for a hat, and I picked the one that has the ear warmer part in it. I put the finished hat on my husband’s head to fit. That was the last time I got it!! He has claimed it!!

Hahaha. I love this! Keep up the great work, Marina!

I love these and have made them for a few years as Xmas gifts, everyone loves them. Keep up with the great work. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family
Rhonda
How much do you all sell these for? My other half wants to take some to his work and sell them for me! I made 1 for him for Christmas and he loves it and wears it everywhere and can’t stop talking about it. 😉
Thanks for any and all input.
