Day 8 of 12 Days of Last Minute DIY Gifts- FREE Video Tutorials

Its day 8! This last minute DIY gift is great for beginners especially for those of you who never had experience sewing bulky fabric and stretchy fabric like fleece. I will be making a reversible fleece neck warmers. It is perfect for both children and adults. I will show you tips and tricks like how to properly orient a fleece depending on its most stretchy grain, and how to tell the pretty side and wrong side of fleece fabric. Also, what kind of stitch length to use because you don’t want those stitches to pop or show since the fabric will be stretching. Then, the kind of needle and thread to use for sewing two layers of fleece. To begin with, here’s what you will be needing:

  • A sewing machine that is capable of zigzag stitches
  • Polyester thread
  • Fleece fabric:
    • Adults (2) 8” x 25”
    • Kids    (2) 7” x 22”
