This week I’m bringing you an easy beginner sewing project that children are sure to love! My kids loooooove storytime! Often times they like to sit on the bean bags I made for them {tutorial HERE} but sometimes (for some crazy reason) they like to just sit on the floor. So, I decided to make them a comfy mat to sit on!

The fabrics for this project were provided by Shannon Fabrics. I chose to use some colorful and adorable prints from their Super Hero collection by Illustration Ink and we love how it turned out!

The project is pretty straight forward to put together but the star is the super soft cuddle fabric! This stuff is so cozy feeling you could even use this mat as a quilt for a young child, especially if you live in colder climates. Fold it up and take it in the car as a pillow. It has a bunch of uses and I hope you’ll try making one yourself!
