Phew! I got in almost at 1:00am last night from Quilt Market. It was amazing… and exhausting! Today, I’m doing laundry, cooking and enjoying some quality time with my kids. Later tonight I will re-pack my bags and catch another flight right back to Houston, TX for Quilt Festival tomorrow morning. Busy, busy, busy! I don’t have much time to write a full blog post but I wanted to leave you with some pictures from Quilt Market so you can get a feel for how big, crazy and super-duper quilty the entire event is!
If you are in the Houston, TX area click HERE for ticket info for Quilt Festival, which is open to the public. It runs from Oct. 30- Nov. 3, 2013. I’d love for you to swing by the Brother International Corp, Scan N Cut booth. I’ll be there every day demo-ing the machine.

The ridiculously talented, Angela Walters! She’s a longarm quilter, author, instructor and fabric designer! |
Stuart from the Great British Sewing Bee recognized me at Market and stopped to tell me he enjoys my videos! How cool is that?! I loved him on the show- he is HILARIOUS! We had to snap a few pics together. |
My buddies, +Margaret Travis of Eazy Peazy Quilts and Rob, Owner of Bosal Foam & Fiber! |

I too am a law school grad who chose to stay home with our kids. They are now grown and off at college. I just got the quilting bug last year – it was my empty nest activity – how I wish I had the savvy that all you young bloggers have and something like this when my kids were young – then again blogging wasn’t really a thing – honestly I had a pager when the kids were little. Best of luck to you. You are an inspiration.
