How to fix a baggy bag lining

Thank you all for your positive comments on my last video, 3 Money Saving Tips for Bag Makers.

The video has almost 16,000 views in just a few days! WOW. I’m so glad to see my tips are reaching so many of you.

I’m out of town this weekend hosting one of my luxury sewing retreats so, I haven’t been able to finish up the new bag of the month club but I promise my team and I will get back to it this week.

In the meantime, I went ahead and put together another video for you.

Many of you who answered the survey said you struggle with getting the lining in your handbags to lie flat on the inside. Even after cutting and sewing accurately you still can’t get the results you want. Here is one quick and easy way to fix that. Try it on your next bag.

Hope you find it helpful!

The new club info will be announced soon. Stay tuned. I have clubs that date back to 2016. They are all still available for signups. 🙂

How I love your videos. Honestly, I purchased two of your prior bag club memberships for the express purpose of sewing them after I retire. Well, I retired (at 62) in February, and I’m having so much fun sewing now. Your videos are awesome and your teaching style could not be more spot on. Thanks so much. Can’t wait for the new club.

Yes I agree, but I also shorten by 1/4 inch at the bottom and my cut out box corners 1/4 inch more also..this I find makes the lining kinda float above the outer pieces..this way it gives a separate space for the lining and the outer bag…. the difference is not enough to make a space difference that you will notice, but a smoother interior.
