3 Money Saving Tips for Bag Makers

Hi all,

Thanks so much for filling out the survey I sent out yesterday.

Almost 1,000 of you have responded already. Wow.

After reviewing the submissions, three of the most common issues
you listed were:

• zippers
• the high cost of materials involved in making handbags and
• not being able to get the lining to lie flat inside the bag even when you cut
and sew your pieces accurately.

I’m happy to announce that we will be tackling all these issues in the new bag
club but I did want to start helping you out with a few of these now.

Here is a video I made for you on 3 Money Saving Tips for Bag Makers.

Hope you find them helpful and can put them to use in a future project!
Thanks again for your help! I’ll be back again soon with another update as we get closer to releasing the new bag of the month club.

Thank you so much Vanessa for all your tips and your wonderful video tutorials!! Up in Canada our costs are so much higher with all the duties and such extra fees. I made the Mercedes bag a couple years ago and in total it cost me around $170.00cd.and I used it on a vacation and sadly it was stolen😢. So costs have to be taken into consideration so this particular video was great!!
    Thanks again😀😀

Hi crafty Gemini. My name is Michelle and I sew bags and other stuff as well as a side project. My biggest problem is attaching zipper to bags. Doing that all in one is a big problem. I does always sew it separate and then add onto the bag

    Hi from Australia,
Just found your youtube channel a bit late. I’ve missed out on joining the bag club as it expired to join on 18 October..Will you have another one next year?
    Thanks, Laura
