#Scarfie Time! Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Yarn GIVEAWAY!

I’m finally back home after a busy (and productive!) weekend in Houston, TX attending Quilt Market. I’ll be writing up a few posts on that experience soon. For right now I’d like to share a quick and easy cowl I whipped on the return flight home. It’s called the Uptown Circle Scarfie and the pattern is FREE! As soon as I saw it I knew it would be the perfect project for my participation in Lion Brand’s #scarfie campaign! What is #scarfie?! Well, it’s a selfie (a picture you take of yourself) of you wearing a scarf or cowl you crocheted using Lion Brand’s Wool-Ease Thick & Quick yarn.

We’re trying to get more crocheters to take part in the fun! Won’t you join us?! All you need to do is take a #scarfie (like I did!) and tag the post on any social media platform using the hashtag “#scarfie.” That’s it! We can all do a search for it on Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. {p.s.- if you wanna see some amazing scarves/cowls do a search for #scarfie yourself. Good stuff.}

I enjoyed this project for a few different reasons:

• Uses Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Yarn (Super Bulky Weight)

• Uses a size N (9mm) crochet hook

• Only requires one skein!

One skein of super bulky yarn + large N hook = a quick and stylish #scarfie!

I used Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Yarn in Eggplant color. Love it!
