Day 11 of 12 Days of Last Minute DIY Gifts is here! In this free video tutorial I teach you how to make my fabric envelope. This is one of my favorite go-to gifts when I am giving a gift card or some cash with a hand written note. It allows me to add a handmade touch without having to spend more than a few minutes to make one. They are also reusable! My kids each have one that they often use as wallets to store their cash in when we head out the door. It’s also a great scrap buster– and you know how much I love functional projects that can be made from those smaller bits of fabric in my stash! The closure is a plastic snap that only takes seconds to install.
Enjoy the step-by-step video tutorial below!

These are great. We follow Dave Ramsey and use cash envelopes, but I have been using boring paper ones – no more! I want to match up the fabric with the theme of the cash that is inside of it. Oh, so much sewing to do this weekend now…

Vanessa, what is the brand of baste spray you use? I can only find aerosol sprays.
