This week I’m bringing you a DIY tutorial for a little girl’s skirt.
Now that the weather is warming up it’s the perfect time to whip up a few (or a dozen!) of these.
This project is great for beginners who want to try their hand at some simple garment sewing. Kid sewing projects are the best to practice your skills on because they whip up quickly and don’t require much fabric.
The skirt has an elastic waistband and only requires two measurements, about 1/2 yard of fabric (for up to a 3T size) and some thread. You can make this skirt in any size following the same process I explain in the video tutorial. My step-by-step video tutorial will guide you through the entire project and you’ll be making these easy little skirts in no time.
My daughter likes to wear her skirts with rain boots for playing outside on the farm. She likes to get dressed up to play outside! My little character.
Watch the video tutorial for this easy skirt. I hope you enjoy it!
Happy sewing!

I’ve made two of these skirts and I am just beginning to sew. One Trolls and one Star Wars. Super easy and great directions. Wish I could post a picture but I can’t figure out how. Thank you!
