How to Make a Modern Strip Block- Block#10 of 12- Video Quilt Along

Welcome to another tutorial from my video quilt Along. We are down to block #10 and I would like to call this the modern strip block. If you are new here, then you can watch all the previous videos on my playlist. Meanwhile, let’s get you started. Here are the materials you will need:

  • Fabric strips 2.5″ x ~13″
  • Fabric square 4.5″
  • Rulers
  • Rotary cutter
  • Cutting mat
  • Pins
  • Iron

Stitch all the fabric strips together next to each other but press the seam just heading in one direction. Then, cut the fabric into 12 ½” x 12 ½”. Next, place the 4 ½” fabric square anywhere you like on the bigger fabric. Then, in my case, I will use a zigzag design to stitch it down but you can use whatever stitch design you like.

Here’s my video tutorial on how to make a Modern Strip Block. Enjoy!

Happy Quilting!
