I have had many requests for a tutu tutorial and pattern from my YouTube subscribers and Facebook fans. So, I’m proud to announce…..I’ve been busy working on a new video tutorial and e-pattern for tutu skirts and dresses!
Here is one of my tutu skirts on my new model, Anaya!
I had to borrow a friend’s daughter since we have a boy. I did try it on my son but my husband just about fell off the couch when he saw him so I knew I had to find a new model. oops!
Here is a sample halter tutu dress. I’m still working on some measurements and widths of elastic, etc. I want to make sure I like everything about it before finalizing the video tutorial and e-pattern.
Both patterns will include charts for fabric/notions, cutting and final tutu skirts and dresses for sizes newborn to size 10.
Stay tuned!

So cute! I had to laugh when you talked about trying the tutu on your son. I have two sons and two daughters but sometimes only one son was around when I needed a live model. Fortunately for them there weren’t any digital cameras around back then!

Will these tutus be tied or SEWN?
Crafty Gemini
They will be tied. I’ll include the sewn tutus on my list of tutorials to-do. Thanks!
