In my tutorial for today, I will share with you how to make Sofrito. It is a vegetable and herbs puree that is often used in many Latin American dishes. It is commonly added to season beans, rice, stews, or even meats, and fish. Here’s what’s in my Sofrito:
- Yellow onions
- Hungarian pepper
- Cubanelle pepper
- Green bell pepper
Here’s how I did it:
Mix in a blender the following: garlic, onions, green bell pepper, Hungarian pepper, Cubanelle pepper, and Cilantro. Afterward, add salt, black pepper, and vinegar. So, this is just how I make it but you can always have your own herbs and greens and even add more peppers. Also, I just place them in zip and lock food bags and store them in the freezer.
