Fall-inspired Mini-Quilt- Squirrel Fun

phew! I’m back! It’s a new year and I’m sooooo busy! Taking care of our 5-month old baby during the day, teaching law classes at night and trying to keep up with my sewing & quilting projects! I had signed up for a Fall-inspired mini quilt swap through the Quilting Gallery and I had a blast making this quilt for my swap partner.

I wanted to design and make a mini-quilt that was fun and told a story. I decided to make this “Squirrel Fun” quilt and I love the way it came out! I used some embroidery floss and hand stitched the loop in the air that shows the flip the squirrel did before diving into a pile a fall leaves. Once I finished the quilt I like it so much I wanted to keep it for myself. lol. But, no worries… I didn’t and it is on the way to Missouri as I type this. Hope she loves it!
