• You will receive 2.5 yards of 3/4″ wide knitted elastic. Perfect for the waistband of your Jalie Sylvie Shorts or Pants!

This type of elastic is ideal for waistbands because it maintains its width when stretched, ensuring a consistent fit and appearance. Can be used in a casing application or for sewing directly through it (like we do in the Jalie Sylvie shorts/pants).

Note: The Jalie Sylvie pattern suggests using 3/8″ wide elastic for the smaller sizes F-X. I have used this 3/4″ wide elastic with great results on all the adult sizes we have made so far for sizes U and larger. Unless I was making the Jalie Sylvie for a child (like size F-Q) you could easily use this 3/4″ wide elastic or even a 1/2″ wide version.
