I’m glad you’re here to catch another one of my quickie tutorials! For Day 4 of 12 Days of Last Minute DIY Gifts I’m teaching you how to make a quick & easy drawstring pouch. I can make one of these in less than 5 minutes!! The trick is to use stretch knit fabrics. Think jersey, cotton/spandex, double brushed poly spandex, fleece, etc. This is a great scrap busting project. If you sew knit garments then I’m sure you have the scraps for this.
I use knit fabric because it doesn’t fray, can be machine washed and dried and doesn’t require any fancy finishes to conceal raw edges. You don’t need a serger either! I think you’ll enjoy seeing how quick it comes together.
