Kids and I at the Baiguate waterfall in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic. |
The kids and I are back home after spending a week in my family’s hometown of Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic. Phew! We had a great time but let’s just say I need a vacation from this vacation. Traveling alone… with two preschoolers… on two red-eye flights each way is not for the lazy or faint of heart. I also made sure to keep our schedule jam packed with activities because I really wanted the kids to get the most out of this trip. {Why did I do that?!} Some of our adventures included hiking up and down mountains to see waterfalls, horseback riding, swimming in rivers, scenic tours of mountains and remote areas of the country, etc. Most of which was done with me carrying a two year old on my back while encouraging my four year old with we’re almost theres and you can do its. Did I mention I’m suuuuuper glad to be home?!
If you didn’t get a chance to follow our trip via the pictures I was posting on Facebook and Instagram I’ve included some snapshots of our trip below.
