No-show Slip Socks PDF Pattern & Video Tutorial

I’m so excited to share one of my favorite little quickie gift ideas with you for Day 7 of 12 Days of Last Minute DIY Gifts!

My No-Show Slip Socks can be made in under 10 minutes! You don’t even need a serger! All you need is some stretch knit fabric (with good stretch return), quality thread (I suggest 100% polyester) and a sewing machine with straight and zig-zag stitch capabilities.

I designed this pattern to be one size fits most.  My kids have made these in a kids size 2 and the same ones fit me and I wear a women’s size 10.5-11 US. The key for this project is to work with a good quality fabric that has spandex in it so you have some stretch return. If you use a stretchy fabric that doesn’t snap back into shape I’m afraid they will get loose as you walk and will end up sliding down. We have had the best results when using a 95%cotton/ 5% spandex blend with 100% stretch in both directions. Cotton spandex fabric comes in so many different solid colors and fun prints.  Make a dozen of these socks and let the kids mix & match them! Also, If you’d like to try making them in a different fabric go ahead! Sewing is all about experimenting and figuring out what works for you!
