The other day the kids were driving me crazy and we couldn’t go outside because it was storming. I had to think fast and come up with a brand new activity we’d never done before to keep them occupied. I pulled out some felt scraps and started making finger puppets with whatever we had on hand. The result: super easy DIY craft project for kids that kept them busy for HOURS. SCORE!
This is one of the funnest little projects we’ve ever worked on and it was sooooo easy! There is no sewing involved. I let them decide what colors to use, what mood the character was in, any extra embellishments and even what to name each one. It really was a fun time!
In this quick video tutorial I go over the few basic crafting supplies I used to create them, how to embellish and assemble them. {Side note: Watch the video for an exclusive puppet show performance by my 4 yr old son. It’s pretty hilarious!}
I hope you’ll give this quickie craft project a try and if you do let me know what you think of it!Use your imagination, be creative and just use whatever you have on hand to embellish your puppets.
