It only makes sense that when you attempt to sew your own clothes you use the same fabrics you love to wear, right?
Sewing with stretchy fabrics can be daunting at first because you don't know what to expect. But I assure you once you try it there is no turning back! It's so much fun and not as difficult as you imagine.
The key is in choosing the right fabric for the pattern you want to make!
After that it's smooth sailing! Assuming you know some sewing basics, of course!
Perfectly sewn seams are not required and because the fabric stretches you don't really have to worry about it not fitting. Stretch knits afford us plenty of wiggle room even if you do make a few sewing mistakes along the way.
