If you’ve been following me for a while you have probably heard read me say that my favorite colors are red, black, and white.  They have been since I was a kid. My first car in high school was a red 1992 Honda Civic hatchback with manual transmission. It took me a while to save up for it. When I finally got it I went crazy with the decor!

Black & red die hanging from the rear view mirror, ladybug car mats, red pedal covers and even a few ladybug pillows in the back seats.  I sold it to buy my computer and other stuff I needed to move to college.  Oh, how I loved that little car.

I still love that color combination and earlier this year I had the opportunity to host a Black & White Block Swap with some online quilting friends.  We each made 13 blocks, everyone mailed them to me and then I redistributed them back.  I wanted to add a pop of red with the cornerstones in the sashing and I’m contemplating adding a border to this before quilting it.

But here’s what I got!  Finally….. a quilt for ME!
