As part of my town’s “Christmas for Kids” gift drive, I “adopt” a family as a volunteer shopper. I could use your Simple Drawstring Bag instructions to turn those cute fabrics into gift bags for “Christmas for Kids” presents which would be too large or odd-shaped to be boxed easily. Any leftovers I could turn into smaller drawstring bags for my teenagers’ RPG dice – or a “Christmas elf” garment or two for the Tyler Wentworth doll in our house!

  93. Kristi October 17, 2012 at 7:30 am #

I would make one of those fabric strip banners. These colors and patterns seem so right and would take the guess work out of me picking them out myself, lol.
    So fun!

Two things – early in my adult life, my mom made an advent countdown banner for our young family. I would make one for each of my young adult daughters so that they can continue the tradition. With the remaining fabric, I would make earth-friendly recyclable drawstring sacks for wrapping gifts.

If I were to win, I’m not 100% sure what I would make. I’m just getting back into sewing, but it would be fun having some cute holiday fabric. I could make my husband some pj pants, cute skirts for all four nieces πŸ™‚ or any number of things from all the patterns I’ve picked out to make πŸ™‚
    Thanks for the opportunity

  125. Genevieve October 17, 2012 at 11:34 am #

I’d use four for my four girls’ pjs and the other two would go to making pj’s to go into two Christmas charity shoe boxes. If I make pj pants, I’ll have enough to make pj pants for the teddy bears I’m making to go into the boxes. πŸ™‚

All my family love to get new aprons and kitchen towels for the season. Mixed with some white white birds-eye fabric this would be so fresh and bright to bring some sunshine into a dark and gloomy rainy day here in the northwest. May be even some holiday valences to sparkle up the kitchen for holiday family “lets get together and bake some pies” events.

  134. Kathy MacKie October 17, 2012 at 1:04 pm #

It would for sure make up into a sweet Christmas quilt, thanks.

    Aloha,
I love the fabrics on Hypernoodle. They are so colorful.
If I were to win 6 yards of fabrics, I would make pillowcases using your burrito method and donate them to “Make a Case for a Good cause” which will be given to local charities in the community. So that every child or family has a new and clean pillow to sleep on. And if there is any left over or scraps, I would make easy christmas gifts like your mug rug and zipper pouches.

Hi I love the fabric and I have plans to make a Christmas tree to hang on my wall. I live in a small apartment and have no space to set up a tree and I found a great little pattern for a tree that uses 1″ squares to make a flat tree. I collected little tiny ornaments after Christmas sales last year to sew on it too. I am excited to get started.

  141. MugglePuggle October 17, 2012 at 4:10 pm #
